Maybe you were as lucky as I was to hear this story the other day. A male robber with an apparent hypnotic personality was caught on tape using his skills in order to get more money than he should have from the tellers.
Using the phrase: "Look into my eyes," the tellers were immediately mesmerized and gave him precisely what he asked for.
Perhaps this is a new church growth strategy as well. Hypnotize people into coming to church. Hypnotize them into coming back again and again. Then our churches would truly become churches of irresistible influence.

Am I the Only One?
The latest political rant is amusing while at the same time baffling. You've probably heard the supposed story (as if this constitutes a story) regarding the 3 AM ad that Hilary Clinton ran showing a little blond headed girl lying in her bed. Well, as it turns out, this little girl is now 18 years old (I think) and an avid supporter of none other than Hilary's Democratic rival, Senator Obama. The ad was made by purchasing some "stock" video footage much like one buys stock photos to create advertising - simply that. Quite obviously, Hilary, nor her team who put this together for her, had any knowledge of this girls current political allegiance. But, nonetheless, it has become a story that I'm seeing on an everyday basis.
Am I the only one that sees this as no story at all...?
